.@hcfischer1 1. It's a national initiative. 48 states have adopted the CCSS as their state standards. This is unprecedented #CCSSMforparents
.@hcfischer1 2. It places an emphasis on BOTH conceptual understanding of math as well as computational fluency. (I can #CCSSMforparents
.@hcfischer1 talk more about what that means). 3. It requires that teachers have a deeper understanding of math. #CCSSMforparents
.@hcfischer1 4. It will have new assessments (tests) designed specifically for it. 5. It is NOT a curriculum #CCSSMforparents
